Brothers Sentenced to Eight Years for Running Ruthless Wolverhampton County Lines Drug Empire
‘Kash Line’ Flooded Wolverhampton with Crack and Heroin
Two brothers have been jailed for eight years after police smashed the brutal “Kash Line” county lines drug ring terrorising Wolverhampton from June 2024 to September 2025. The gang pumped deadly crack cocaine and heroin into the city’s streets for over a year.
West Midlands Police’s County Lines Taskforce tracked the operation through mountains of data. One phone alone sent nearly 20,000 texts and handled more than 21,000 calls, revealing the massive scale of the drug network.
Big September Bust Lands Akeam and Mohammed Khan Behind Bars
Akeam Khan, 27, from Bramdean Walk, and Mohammed Shay Khan, 26, of Warstones Gardens, were arrested last September after police raided multiple addresses. Both pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court on February 10, admitting to drug supply and related offences.
Police Praise Crackdown but Warn Fight Isn’t Over
Detective Constable Louise Ford saluted the dogged police work involving CCTV and phone analysis. She said: “Tackling county lines activity remains a priority as it impacts our communities and fuels other crime.”
The brothers now face a long stint behind bars for poisoning Wolverhampton’s streets with dangerous drugs. But police warn the battle against county lines gangs still rages on.
