Kingpin Ali Abbas Slapped with Six-Year Sentence
Ali Abbas, 31, from Mitcham, was handed six years at Chichester Crown Court on 27 January 2025. He pled guilty to conspiracy to handle stolen goods, fraud, transferring criminal property, drug supply, and fake ID possession.
Co-Conspirators Get Mixed Sentences
- Abdirahman Ismail, 34, Wallington – 16 months suspended for two years after pleading guilty to drug supply and related offences.
- Rizwan Javid, 41, Chadwell Heath – sentenced to 2 years 8 months at Guildford Crown Court on 19 September 2025 for handling stolen goods, fraud, and criminal property transfer.
- Hussain Kapadia, 34, Ilford – jailed for 2 years 3 months on the same charges and date as Javid.
Fifth Suspect Walks Free
The trial of a fifth man wrapped up last week at Guildford Crown Court. On 21 November, the jury found him not guilty on all charges, clearing him completely.
