Huddersfield Drug Dealer Jailed for Eight Years Over £100k Cocaine and Cannabis Haul
A Huddersfield man has been slammed with an eight-year jail sentence after police busted over £100,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis in his properties.
Big Drug Haul in Police Raid
Joseph Masih, 37, from Birkby, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, April 5. He previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, along with possession of criminal property.
During raids in December 2022, officers searched Masih’s home in Birkby and another property he accessed, uncovering a stash of cocaine, cannabis, thousands of pounds in cash, and drug paraphernalia.
Operation Precision Strikes Back
Detective Inspector James Bellhouse of the Kirklees Programme Precision Team said: “We welcome the sentencing of Masih at Leeds Crown Court yesterday for drug possession and dealing offences.
“Officers seized Class A and B drugs potentially worth £100,000 along with cash and other drug-related equipment.
“Programme Precision was set up to tackle organised crime like this. We’re glad this operation stopped large quantities of drugs from hitting the streets.”
Fight Against Drugs Continues
DI Bellhouse added: “Drug dealing fuels serious crime, and the operation that caught Masih is just one of many ongoing efforts by Kirklees CID and Programme Precision.
