Tragic Deaths of Two Boys in Brentwood Stabbing
Two boys, known locally as Charlie and Frankie, have died after a stabbing in Regency Court at around 1.30am on Sunday. The heartbreaking incident unfolded during a disturbance, leaving the community in shock.
Eight Men Held Over Double Murder
Police have arrested eight men, all now in custody and being questioned on suspicion of murder. The suspects include:
- 19-year-old from Grays
- 21-year-old from South Ockendon
- 20-year-old from Grays
- 20-year-old from South Ockendon
- 19-year-old from Grays
- 20-year-old from Grays
- 49-year-old from Grays
- 40-year-old from Brentwood
Forensic post-mortems are scheduled to confirm the boys’ ages, identities, and the exact cause of death.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
“Our team is continuing to investigate the circumstances which led to two teenage boys sadly losing their lives in Brentwood in the early hours of Sunday morning,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Truss. “We are reviewing hours of CCTV footage from the area and following multiple leads.”
Specially trained family liaison officers are supporting the families during this tragic time. The police have also urged anyone who was near Crown Street in Brentwood between 10pm Saturday and 5am Sunday to come forward with information.
