Mass brawl outside Ramsgate takeaway sparks multiple charges
Late-Night Fight Breaks Out in King Street
Kent Police rushed to a fast-food joint in King Street shortly after 2am on Saturday, 25 March 2023, following reports of a vicious fight. Earlier that evening, a separate skirmish had also erupted in the Harbour Street area.
Four Men Arrested and Charged
All four suspects hail from Ramsgate. Two needed hospital treatment but were released and taken into custody. They face serious charges, including affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Finley Goldsmith, 19, from Park Road, charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Samuel Giles, 21, from Bradley Road, charged with affray, grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.
- Alfie Mason, 19, from Queensgate Road, charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Jack Bamford, 21, no fixed address, charged with possession of an offensive weapon, grievous bodily harm, affray, plus additional offences from unrelated incidents.
All four are remanded in custody and set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 March 2023.
Taxi Driver Stabbed in Separate Ramsgate Incident
Police are also probing a stabbing/" title="Stabbing" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">stabbing and robbery involving a taxi driver in Margate Road, Ramsgate, at around 11.20pm on Friday, 24 March. The driver was attacked and robbed by a passenger, suffering stab wounds described as non-life-threatening. One person has been arrested and later bailed pending further investigation.
