Edgware Rape Horror: Man Charged After Late-Night Attack
A 31-year-old man from Edgware has been charged over a shocking rape that stunned the local community earlier this month. Karimullah Tufan, of Fairfield Crescent, appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today following the brutal assault.
Attack Caught Victim Off Guard After Night Out
The terrifying incident happened in the early hours of September 6, just after midnight. A man in his 20s was walking home from Edgware underground station when a stranger approached him on Station Road.
What started as a seemingly innocent chat quickly turned violent. The suspect dragged the victim into a nearby car park and allegedly carried out the horrific attack. The victim is now receiving specialist support after being left deeply traumatised.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
Police moved fast, catching a suspect in Hendon on September 19. Karimullah Tufan was swiftly charged in connection with the rape. The investigation remains open as detectives continue to piece together the full story.
