In a significant blow against local crime, Andrew Irvine, a 51-year-old resident of Green Lane, Chichester, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for his role in a burglary at Crew Clothing on South Street.

The incident, which occurred around 10pm on December 13, 2023, saw Irvine illegally entering the store and making off with stock valued at nearly £30,000, including over 100 pairs of jeans. Police quickly responded to the burglary report, leading to Irvine’s arrest at his home and subsequent conviction at Portsmouth Crown Court on April 9.
