Man Jailed for Sex Assault Near Gatwick Airport
A man has been locked up for sexually assaulting a woman near an airport terminal. Hassan Alsaadi carried out a non-consensual attack in a shadowy, secluded spot outside Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal.
Victim Supported by Specialist Officers
The victim, whose identity remains protected, received help from specially trained police officers who handle sexual assault cases. She bravely reported the horrifying incident that happened late at night.
Five Months Behind Bars and Sex Offender Register
On January 19, Hove Crown Court found 33-year-old Alsaadi guilty of sexual assault by touching. Formerly of Kingston Hill, Kingston upon Thames, he was sentenced to five months in jail.
Alsaadi has also been slapped with a seven-year sex offender registration and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This order forces him to disclose his conviction to any future partners.
Details of the Assault Revealed
The court heard the attack unfolded around 7:45 pm on November 14, 2022. The victim was alone in the smoking area outside Gatwick’s South Terminal when the assault took place.
