Robert Shepherd, has been sentenced to three years in custody and an additional three years on licence after being found guilty of the sexual assault and false imprisonment of a woman in Leigh. The verdict was delivered at Bolton Crown Court on Friday, January 26.

Shepherd, who signed a life-long Sexual Harm Prevention Order, had previously pleaded guilty on Thursday, November 2, 2023, during his first hearing, admitting to charges of false imprisonment and sexual assault.
