Man Charged with Murder After Sittingbourne Woman Found Dead
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 64-year-old woman in Sittingbourne.
Woman Found Dead in Kemsley Home
Police were called to a property in Hurst Lane, Kemsley in the early hours of Tuesday, 31 July 2018, where they discovered the woman’s body.
Michael Packman Held and Charged
The Crown Prosecution Service authorised a murder charge against 66-year-old Michael Packman after a probe by Kent’s Serious Crime Directorate. Mr Packman, also from Hurst Lane, was briefly treated at a London hospital before being discharged and taken into custody on Saturday, 4 August.
He is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 6 August.
No One Else Wanted
Police confirmed Mr Packman and the victim were known to each other. Officers say they are not looking for any other suspects connected to the case.
