Christmas Eve Crash in Worthing: Pedestrian Hit by Motorcycle

At 8.50pm on Friday, December 24, chaos hit Brighton Road, Worthing. A westbound motorcyclist collided with a 46-year-old man walking nearby.

Serious Injuries and Arrest

The pedestrian was rushed to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious head injuries. The 21-year-old biker suffered minor injuries but was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He has since been released under investigation.

Police Seek Witnesses and Land Rover Driver

PC Nick Halsey from the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit urged witnesses to come forward. “If you saw what happened, we want to hear from you,” he said. “We’re especially keen to speak to the driver of a Land Rover or Range Rover travelling east at the time.”
