The victim was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

  • After further inquiries, a fifth man, 37, from Hampshire was also detained on the same suspicion.

All were either released on conditional bail or remain under investigation as police continue to probe the incident.

Police Urge Immediate Reporting of Spiking

“The speed at which we were able to make these arrests is a testament to the swift work of bar staff and officers,” said Detective Sergeant Sharon Rintoul.

“If you think you or someone you know has been a victim of spiking, report it immediately to bar staff, police officers, or call 999. Quick reporting helps gather vital evidence.”
