Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on Newark Road, Ollerton

A woman in her 50s died after being hit by a car in Ollerton at around 10.25pm on December 8. The driver reportedly struck the pedestrian and sped off without stopping.

Suspect Arrested Over Deadly Crash

Paramedics declared the woman dead at the scene. Police quickly arrested a 33-year-old man from the area, charging him with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop, and failing to report the incident. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“The investigation is moving at pace,” said Sergeant Steve Waft of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit. “This has been incredibly distressing for the victim’s family, and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.”
