Massive Search Operation Launched

Rescue teams sprang into action after a man in his 70s, suffering from dementia, got separated from his family during a visit to Walmer Castle in Deal on Saturday afternoon, 4th March 2023. The RNLI lifeboat from Walmer joined forces with Kent Police, Coastguard teams from Deal and Langdon to scour the area.

Relief flooded in just after 5pm when the elderly man was located safe and sound. Reunited with his family, the 70-year-old was unharmed, putting an end to a tense day of searching.
