Paedophile Sentenced to 20 Months Behind Bars in Edinburgh
A 59-year-old man has been jailed for 20 months at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. He was also slapped with an order to register as a sex offender for viewing illegal images online.
Detective Inspector Slams Offender’s “Reprehensible” Online Actions
Detective Inspector I. Ure from Police Scotland’s National Child Abuse Investigation Unit blasted the man’s behaviour. “Reid’s online behaviour was reprehensible with no regard to the young victims depicted in the images he was viewing,” he said.
“He believed the internet would protect his identity and let him get away with it. But thanks to our investigation, he will now face the full consequences of his crimes.”
