Two Men Locked Up for Running Sussex County Lines Drug Empire

Two crooks behind a ruthless county lines drug ring have been jailed for flooding Sussex with heroin and cocaine.

Ibrahim Ali, 20, from Harrow, was slammed with five years and three months. Eric Kalauz, 26, from Havering, copped four years and one month. Both were convicted of supplying Class A drugs.

‘Pokey’ Line Used Texts to Push Heroin and Coke Across Sussex

The pair ran the infamous “Pokey” line, bombarding victims with bulk texts and secret codes to sell their deadly stash in Brighton, Bognor Regis, and beyond.

Sussex Police teamed up with the Met Police to nail the operation. They tracked a dodgy mobile number linked to countless drug ads and transactions.

Phones were seized and messages cracked open. The evidence showed Ali and Kalauz were the masterminds behind the drug supply and texting system. Both were snapped up after months of intelligence work.

Police Praise Major Victory Against County Lines Gang

“Our investigation uncovered the scale of this operation supplying Class A drugs causing huge harm in our communities,” said Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs.

“We’re glad this ‘Pokey’ line is shut down. Both men face hefty prison time, sending a strong message.”

Police say this is another big blow in battling mobile “deal lines” that flood Sussex with dangerous drugs.

County lines gangs often exploit the vulnerable to move their poison. DI Jacobs vowed the force will stay relentless in smashing these criminal racks and protecting communities.
