County Lines Crackdown: Drug Dealers Caged in Kent
Kesshai Clarke and Mohammed Mansary were caught running a ruthless drug operation smuggling crack cocaine and heroin from London to Kent on the notorious ‘Tony’ line. Clarke ferried the lethal drugs, while Mansary recruited local users to deliver the stash.
Arrested in Bromley and Ashford
Both men were nabbed during police raids in Bromley and Ashford in October 2021. They were charged with possession with intent to supply and pled guilty.
On 8 April 2022, Mansary, 21, of Cahir Street, was sentenced to four years behind bars at Maidstone Crown Court. Clarke, 21, from Hillcrest Road, Bromley, got seven years. His sentence also covered previous drug offences.
Police Crack the Case with Text Message Evidence
Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team uncovered a trail of incriminating texts offering heroin and cocaine to Ashford users from July to September 2021. Follow-up raids led them to Clarke escaping through a window at a Bromley property.
Inside, officers found around £11,000 worth of cocaine and heroin, multiple phones, SIM cards, and electronic scales. The next day, Mansary was taken down at a flat in Ashford along with drugs, cash, and a knife.
PC Samantha Smith warned: “Class A drugs of the kind dealt by this county line ruin lives and lead to violence and further crime in our community.”
“Kent Police will keep hunting down those pushing drugs into the county and locking them away to protect our streets.”
