Two Arrested After Brutal Assault Outside Canterbury Pub

Violent Clash Rocks Canterbury City Centre

Two men have been arrested following a savage attack in Canterbury’s city centre. The violent brawl erupted at around 7.40pm on Saturday, 14 May 2022, outside the Seven Stars Inn on Orange Street.

Victim Suffers Serious Head Injury

A man in his 30s was assaulted by two attackers during the fracas. He sustained a serious head injury and was rushed to a London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Suspects Held and Police Seek Witnesses

On Monday morning, 16 May, police arrested a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old man from the Canterbury area on suspicion of assault. Both are currently in custody.

Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has video footage to come forward. They stress the importance of eyewitness accounts in progressing the investigation.
