Armed machete gang sparks chaos outside swanky Mayfair nightclub

Machete Madness Hits Mayfair

Mayfair’s nightlife took a deadly turn in the early hours of Sunday when a gang wielding machetes tried to storm Tabu nightclub on Dover Street. The group was initially refused entry but returned armed with huge blades, sparking panic among clubbers and staff.

A security guard, speaking anonymously, said the weapons were “very big blades” as the men charged the entrance in a desperate bid to get inside.

Police Race to the Rescue

Armed officers from the Metropolitan Police arrived swiftly, quelling the violent outbreak before anyone was seriously hurt. Several suspects were arrested and multiple machetes seized by police.

“It was pure chaos. The men charged the door with large blades. How no one was hurt is pure luck,” said a nearby venue manager. “Our customers just want a good night, not dodging machete-wielding thugs.”

The manager also praised police for their quick action: “They dealt with it very quickly and brought the situation under control.”

Exclusive Club with a Celebrity Following

Tabu is famed for its Hawaiian theme, tropical cocktails, and glamorous clientele. This exclusive hotspot draws high-profile visitors, making the violent attack all the more shocking for the upscale Mayfair district.

Ongoing Investigation and Community Shock

The Met confirms two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Three men were arrested at a separate operation in Hertfordshire and remain in custody alongside the man detained at the scene.

We responded at 3:11am to reports of men armed with weapons attempting entry to a club on Dover Street,” a police spokesperson said. “Enquiries are ongoing.”

Local residents and business owners expressed disbelief, calling the incident out of character for Mayfair. Social media buzzed with shock and relief that the violence wasn’t worse.
