Uxbridge Couple Jailed After Brutal Baseball Bat Attack
A man and woman from Uxbridge have been found guilty of grievous bodily harm after a savage baseball bat assault.
James White, 22, of Morse Close, and Crystal Culhane, 22, of The Brambles, were convicted at the Old Bailey on Friday, 27 November. They face sentencing on Wednesday, 23 December.
Planned Attack on Victim During Date Night
The horror unfolded in the early hours of 18 August 2019. White brutally beat a 33-year-old man with a baseball bat after Culhane lured him to Dovedale Close.
The pair were on a date, having reconnected after years apart. Shockingly, the victim was Culhane’s partner at the time. The attack was meticulously planned.
Phone Records and CCTV Seal Their Fate
- Phone records revealed Culhane repeatedly called and messaged the victim, enticing him to the scene.
- Deleted messages were recovered, exposing their sinister plot.
- Court footage showed the victim parking his car near White’s home.
- While distracted on the phone to Culhane, the victim was ambushed and beaten until unconscious.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition by the London Ambulance Service but cannot recall the attack.
Blood-Stained Evidence and Arrests Follow
Detectives raided White’s home the day after the assault, seizing blood-stained clothes matching CCTV evidence and witness statements.
Culhane was arrested while trying to visit the victim in hospital. The motive remains unclear.
