A suspected burglar has been charged following a wave of break-ins that rattled west Kent residents. Between 8 June and 9 July 2025, homes in Ashford, Cranbrook, and Tonbridge were targeted, leaving locals on edge.

The thief reportedly smashed patio doors or slipped through open windows to raid six properties. Stolen goods included jewellery, watches, handbags, cash, and even irreplaceable WW2 medals.
Police Nail Suspect Using CCTV and Forensics
Investigators combed through CCTV footage and carried out forensic checks at every scene. Their efforts led to the arrest of a man on 15 October, cracking the case wide open.
George Dunn Charged Over Burglary Spree and Driving Offences
George Dunn, 42, of Quarry Road, Maidstone, faces six burglary charges plus multiple driving offences. He appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 16 October and was remanded in custody ahead of a November 14 hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.
