Hit-and-Run Shocker Near Newport: Police Hunt Dark Green Vehicle

Did you spot a crash near Newport yesterday afternoon?

Police were scrambled at 1.29pm on 5 August following a collision at the junction of Forest Road and Whitehouse Road involving a silver Citroen C3 and a dark green car.

Serious Injuries and No Sign of Other Driver

The 76-year-old woman driving the Citroen sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, the other driver fled the scene along Betty Haunt Lane.

Officers believe the dark green vehicle has heavy damage to the driver’s door—or it may even be missing entirely.
