Teen Held After Sickening Schoolboy Robbery Outside Pub

A 17-year-old lad was arrested on suspicion of robbery after a violent attack on two nine-year-old boys in Shanklin.

Gang Targets Young Boys Near Regent Street Pub

Just before 5:30pm on Sunday, May 7, a group of teens cornered the two youngsters outside The Falcon bar on Regent Street.

One boy was punched, ending up with a bloodied nose. The thugs then snatched his backpack and fled.

Good Samaritan Returns Stolen Bag

An eagle-eyed member of the public gave chase. Thankfully, they found the stolen bag and got it back to the victim.

A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police spokeswoman said: “A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery as part of the investigation and remains in custody at this time.”

Police are continuing their probe into the shocking attack.
