Teen Arrested After Dawn Burglary in Bexhill
A 17-year-old boy was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of breaking into a Bexhill business and stealing cash and electrical goods.
Swift Police Action Nets Suspect
Officers were called to Western Road at 5:37am on September 3 following reports of a break-in at a local shop. The suspect fled the scene with a small amount of cash and some electrical items.
Responding quickly, police conducted a search and arrested the teenager just 23 minutes later on De La Warr Road. He is currently in custody suspected of burglary with intent to steal.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“Burglaries can have a serious financial impact on a business, particularly an independent one such as this,” said Inspector Jonathan Hartley from the Rother prevention team. “Our officers responded swiftly and had someone in custody within half an hour of the 999 call. Our enquiries continue.”
