Man in Critical Condition After Stabbing at Orpington’s Hoblingwell Wood

A man is fighting for his life following a stabbing at Hoblingwell Wood Recreation Ground in Orpington on Friday afternoon.

Stabbing Shocks Orpington Park

The violent attack happened around 4pm near Mickleham Road. London’s Air Ambulance rushed to the scene to treat a man believed to be in his 20s, who suffered a serious stab wound. He was quickly flown to a south London hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Police Launch Manhunt as No Arrests Made

Police and paramedics arrived promptly after being alerted by the London Ambulance Service at 4:41pm. Officers found the victim close to Mickleham Road and Chipperfield Road in St Paul’s Cray.

A Met Police spokesman said: “A man, believed to be in his mid-20s, was stabbed and taken to hospital in a critical state. At this early stage, there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”

Section 60 Order Imposed Across Bromley

In response, police have authorised a Section 60 order covering the entire Bromley borough from 5pm Friday until 5am Saturday, granting officers wider powers to stop and search in the hunt for the attacker.
