Horror Hit-and-Run in Margate: Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Emergency crews scrambled to Caxton Road, Margate, after a terrifying hit-and-run in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Life-Saving Efforts and Air Ambulance Called

Just after 1am, police, paramedics, two fire crews, and the Kent, Sussex, and Surrey air ambulance were all dispatched to the scene. Armed Kent Police officers also attended as doctors performed life-saving treatment on a seriously injured man.

Medics carried out a Rapid Sequence Induction procedure on the victim, who suffered serious head injuries. He was then airlifted to hospital for urgent care.

Man Arrested as Police Launch Investigation

The road remains closed while officers investigate the incident. A dog handler is conducting an area search for the driver and vehicle involved. The collision zone has been sealed off as a crime scene.

Police have arrested a man in his 30s on several offences and recovered a vehicle linked to the crime.
