Tragic Nurse Found Dead by Dorset Coast – Police Hunt Family

Community nurse Lesley Stevens, 63, was tragically found dead in the waters off Lyme Regis, Dorset, this April. Police are urgently trying to track down her next-of-kin or any family members to inform them.

Lesley’s Last Known Whereabouts

Lesley, who worked at Axminster Hospital’s Community Care Team, left her Musbury home at 7am on Monday 19 April. Later that day, her body was discovered in the sea near Lyme Regis. A Dorset County Coroner confirmed drowning as the cause of death.

Police Appeal for Family From Kent

Lesley had lived in Musbury, East Devon, for 18 years, previously living in Seaton after moving from Kent. Police believe she may have family ties in the Kent area but have been unable to find any relatives. She was thought to have been married before moving to Musbury, but her husband passed away.

How to Contact Police With Information

Lesley’s red Citroen C1 was found parked in Lyme Regis after her death. Her body remains with Dorset Coroner’s Office while police continue their search for family.

“Anyone with information to help trace Lesley’s next-of-kin should contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting reference EN/6156/21.”
