Shock as Kent Police PCSO Found Dead Near Dover
Kent Police is urgently hunting witnesses after the body of a 53-year-old woman was found near Dover. The victim, serving Kent Police PCSO Julia James, was discovered in Akholt Wood, Snowdown, just after 4pm on Tuesday, April 27.
Death Treated as Suspicious – No Arrests Yet
Detectives from Kent’s Serious Crime Directorate have launched a full investigation. No arrests have been made so far, but the death is being treated as suspicious. Officers are combing the area for clues and ramping up patrols in Snowdown.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers want to hear from anyone in the Snowdown area on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 April who spotted anything odd or suspicious. Locals who regularly visit the woodland or passers-by with dashcam footage are especially urged to come forward.

“It saddens me to confirm that the victim was a serving PCSO for Kent Police,” said Assistant Chief Constable Tom Richards. “Our thoughts are with her friends and colleagues. We need anyone who was in the area and saw something suspicious to get in touch immediately. Please remain vigilant while the investigation continues.”
