Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Around 7:30 a.m., Wiltshire Air Ambulance and ambulance teams were called to assist a man in his 30s experiencing a medical emergency while detained. Despite desperate efforts by paramedics and emergency services, the man tragically passed away at the station.
Custody Suite Shut as Investigation Underway
The Gablecross custody suite was swiftly closed for the probe, with all detainees moved to Melksham custody following its recent reopening after refurbishment. Police have halted non-essential arrests and cancelled voluntary attendance interviews to focus resources on the inquiry.
