Hit-and-Run Tragedy on Dorset Road
Dorset Police were called at 9.47pm on Sunday, 12 December 2021, after a black Ford Fiesta struck a pedestrian on the A3049, between Mannings Heath and Alderney roundabouts. The driver and passengers fled, abandoning the damaged car at the scene.

Tragically, the victim, a woman in her 20s from Poole, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her sudden death has shocked the local community.
Driver Charged Following Police Probe
After a thorough investigation by Dorset’s traffic unit and consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, a 20-year-old man from Poole was charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He is due in Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 16 December 2022.
Second Suspect Released
A 19-year-old man from Poole, initially arrested in connection with the crash, has been released without further action.
