Dog Walker Killed in Hit-and-Run on Tunbridge Road

Kent Police are hunting for leads after a dog walker was found dead on the A2014 Pembury Road in Tunbridge.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was discovered around 9:15pm on Thursday 6 August 2020, just 200 metres south of the Vauxhall Inn. He had suffered injuries consistent with a vehicle collision, but no driver stopped at the scene.

Dog Unharmed, Police Desperate for Witnesses

The man’s dog was with him at the time and thankfully escaped without injury. His next of kin have been informed.

PC Jamie Woodhams from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We urgently need anyone with information to come forward to help provide answers for the family.”

“If your car has dashcam footage from the A2014 or nearby A21 leading up to or shortly after the incident, please get in touch immediately.”

“Also, let us know if you spot a damaged or abandoned vehicle in your area—it could be linked to this hit-and-run.”
