Kent Police were called to the Boatyard in Tovil at around 8.40pm on Friday, 27 June. A man was allegedly shot with a BB gun and threatened with a knife. Paramedics attended immediately, treating the victim at the scene.
Police Helicopter Spotted Over M20 and Lock Lane
Residents reported seeing a police helicopter hovering low over the M20 and Lock Lane areas of Maidstone during the frantic search. The sight sparked concern and buzz on social media, as locals wondered what was unfolding.
Shortly after, officers arrested a 46-year-old man at a property on Lock Lane. Police confirmed the suspect is known to the victim and has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody while inquiries continue.

“We were called at 8.40pm to a report of an assault in Lock Lane. The suspect remains in custody,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
Locals described a heavy emergency services presence around the river and nearby roads, with the helicopter overhead for more than half an hour. No further injuries have been reported.
