Manhunt Underway for Suspected Rapist and Burglar in Manchester
A manhunt is on for Courtney Adams, wanted on suspicion of rape and burglary following a terrifying attack in Hulme at around 5am on Tuesday, 29 November.
Police Release CCTV Image to Help Identify Suspect
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have released a CCTV image to aid the public in recognising Adams. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who sees him or knows where he is hiding.
Warning to Public as Police Step Up Patrols
“We are very keen to speak to this man,” said Detective Superintendent David Meeney of GMP’s Manchester district. “He is known to have links to Hulme, Ardwick, and frequently visits Oxford Road from the city centre to Rusholme.”
“The victim was subjected to a horrific ordeal and is being supported by specialist officers.”
“Offences like this are very rare and this is being treated as an isolated incident. But I urge everyone to make sure their doors and windows are securely locked, especially at night.”
“Since the incident, we have increased patrols in the area and will continue to do so. Report any suspicious activity immediately.”
