Ex-British Heavyweight Champ Julius Francis Knocks Out Troublemaker at BOXPARK Wembley

Former heavyweight boxing star Julius Francis, known for taking on Mike Tyson in 2000, showed he still packs a punch—this time as a security guard at BOXPARK Wembley.

Chaos at BOXPARK Ends with a Knockout

Footage circulating online captures the moment Francis punches a man square in the face, sending him crashing to the ground. The troublemaker had been hurling obscenities at security staff and even shoved a man outside the venue before getting floored.

Once out cold, the fallen man’s pals rushed to help, with one bystander questioning Francis: “Why? There was no reason.”

Mixed Reactions as Video Goes Viral

TalkSPORT’s Michael Benson shared the clip on Twitter, noting: “Former British heavyweight champion Julius Francis (who fought Mike Tyson) now working as security at BOXPARK Wembley and dealing with some trouble today…” The video has since racked up over four million views.

Comments are split. Some back Francis, saying the man “deserved it” and “got exactly what he asked for” after raising his hand towards Francis. Others slammed the ex-boxer for losing his cool, arguing he should have walked away like a professional rather than throwing punches.

“If this wasn’t a professional boxer, I’d say it was justified. But Francis isn’t required to do so. He got caught up and lost control,” one critic said.

Another warned, “He could easily be sued.”

BOXPARK Responds; Police Investigate

A BOXPARK spokesperson said: “Our team is aware of the footage being circulated online. This incident is currently being reviewed as part of an ongoing police investigation, so we are unable to comment further at this time. We want to emphasise that the safety and well-being of our customers and employees is our top priority.”

From the Ring to Security Duty

During his peak in the ‘90s and early 2000s, Julius Francis faced some of boxing’s biggest names including Mike Tyson, Vitali Klitschko, and Audley Harrison. Now, it seems he’s putting those gloves to work keeping order outside the ring.
