Hunt on for Rapist Who Attacked Woman in Bedford Woods
At around 9pm on Friday 16 April, a woman was attacked in the woods near The Spinney, Bedford. She was with a younger girl when a man approached, struck up a conversation, then brutally raped her.
Suspect Fled Towards Travelodge
The attacker ran off towards the Travelodge on Goldington Road. Police describe him as a black man, around 6ft tall, with braided hair. He was wearing a navy blue Adidas tracksuit.
Police Issue Urgent Appeal
Detective Inspector Michelle Lack from the RASSO team said:
“We are taking this incident extremely seriously and want to find this man as soon as possible. This attack was deeply distressing for the victims, and our specialist officers are supporting them fully.”
She added:
“If you were in the area at the time or saw this man, please come forward. We know this is troubling for local residents, but we are doing everything we can to catch the culprit.”
