Unidentified Man Found Dead on Sidmouth Rocks
Police were called at 2.20pm on Thursday, 24 November after a man’s body was discovered on the rocks at The Esplanade in Sidmouth.
Who Was He? Police Hunt Clues
Detectives have ruled out any local missing persons and are now scrambling to identify the man and find his next of kin. They have released a description to the public in a bid to crack the case.
- White male, early 70s
- Average build, about 5ft 10in tall
- Short grey hair
- Wearing a short-sleeved white shirt with blue checks
- Black trousers with a brown belt
- Black socks, no shoes or jacket
- No personal items or jewellery found
Police Plea: Did You See Him?
“We’re keen to speak to anyone who may recognise this person from our description,” said Detective Inspector Andy Hingston. “We are not treating his death as suspicious, but we urgently need to identify him to notify his family. “If any hotels or care homes know of someone missing, or anyone recognises him, please get in touch.”
