Armed Police Descend on Hyson Green After Threat of Weapon
Armed officers rushed to Bentinck Road, Hyson Green, at 1.20am on Tuesday (4 April) following reports of a heated argument. One man allegedly claimed he was armed, sparking alarm.
Suspects Arrested After Dramatic Stand-Off
Several people involved left the scene in a car, but no injuries were reported. Police swiftly tracked down the suspicious vehicle. A 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of affray. Both were searched, but no weapons were found.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“We treat all reports of this nature extremely seriously,” Detective Inspector Danny Johnstone of Nottinghamshire Police said.
“Our investigation is ongoing. We want to speak to anyone who saw the incident, especially those with CCTV or dash cam footage.”
“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident 31 of 4 April 2023.”
