A 27-year-old police constable from Doncaster has been arrested on suspicion of blackmail, corruption, and misconduct in public office. The arrest came after a report to the force’s Professional Standards Department (PSD) and took place yesterday. The officer has since been released on bail.
Off-Duty Allegations Shake Doncaster Police
The alleged crimes happened while the officer was off duty but are linked to her policing role. She faces accusations of deception for financial gain and bungling an investigation she was working on. The constable is part of a Doncaster team and has now been suspended.
Internal Probe Launched as Criminal Probe Continues
An internal PSD misconduct investigation is running alongside the criminal case. Detective Superintendent Delphine Waring, head of Professional Standards, vowed the force will handle the case with full transparency.
