Teens Charged Over Brutal Walthamstow Stabbing
Two 18-year-olds have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Hussain Chaudhry in Walthamstow, Ilford. Alexis Morris of South Park Drive faces murder, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, and two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent. Meanwhile, Anthony Nguyen of Lyndon Road, Belvedere, was charged with assisting an offender.
Deadly Attack on Lea Bridge Road
The police were called to Lea Bridge Road near Grove Road at around 5:20pm on March 17 after reports of a stabbing. Responding officers and London Ambulance Service found 18-year-old Hussain Chaudhry with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem revealed Hussain died from hypovolemic shock caused by a stab wound to the neck. Two others, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s — both related to Hussain — suffered slash wounds to their hands. They were treated at an East London hospital and have since been discharged.
Previous Murder Charge in the Case
Another teenager, Marvin Ward, 18, of Westwood Road, Ilford, was earlier charged with Hussain’s murder, two counts of attempted murder, robbery, and possession of an offensive weapon. He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on March 22.
