Farm Equipment Heist: £25,000 in GPS Gear Stolen Across Suffolk
Thieves struck three Suffolk farms, making off with high-tech GPS gear worth a staggering £25,000. The raids happened over two nights, targeting valuable tractor equipment and fuel.
First Raid: Friston Farm Hit Hard
Between 7pm on March 29 and 7am on March 30, crooks broke into a farm in Friston. They stole three GPS trackers and three Pro 700 screens from three different tractors. As if that wasn’t enough, around 300 litres of Ad Blue were drained from a container. The total theft value: around £15,000. (Crime ref: 37/18531/23)
Second and Third Thefts in Bedingfield and Hoxne
- Bedingfield: Between 9pm on April 3 and 7:15am April 4, thieves swiped three GPS screens, a total control screen, and three GPS domes from three tractors. (Crime ref: 37/19528)
- Hoxne: Somewhere between 4pm on April 3 and 7am the next day, a GPS system worth £10,000 was stolen from a tractor. (Crime ref: 37/19778/23)
Police Warn: Crooks Know Their Stuff
Officers are linking all three incidents, believing the thieves had expert knowledge of how to access the farms and the specialist units. Investigations are ongoing.
