Teen Stabbed in Gillingham Alley – Two Arrested on Murder Suspicion
18-Year-Old Victim Found with Stab Wounds
An 18-year-old was seriously injured in a stabbing in an alleyway off Suffolk Road, Gillingham, late on Friday, 14 April 2023. Kent Police were called at 9.05pm, with officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service rushing to the scene.
Two 19-Year-Old Men Held Overnight
In a swift response, police arrested two 19-year-old men in Gillingham at around 12.30am on Saturday, 15 April. Both are currently in custody on suspicion of murder. Officers have since spoken to several potential witnesses but are urgently appealing to the public to come forward.
Police Seek Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Inspector Ross Gurden, Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances and would like to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious around or before 9.05pm on Friday evening.”
“The attack took place near the town centre, where there would have been pedestrians and vehicles. If you can help the investigation, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
Motorists with dashcams and owners of private CCTV in the area are urged to check their footage for any relevant evidence.
