Thieves Break Into Popular Japanese Restaurant on Epsom High Street
Police are hunting witnesses after a brazen burglary at Kokoro Japanese restaurant in Epsom. The break-in happened sometime between 8.30pm on Sunday, 16 May and 12.20am the following morning.
£3,200 Worth of Goods Stolen
The restaurant director locked up at 8.30pm before heading out for dinner. When she returned just after midnight, she found the premises insecure and CCTV cameras had been tampered with. The office was ransacked, with a mobile phone, credit card, and around £3,200 in cash stolen.
Shockingly, the CCTV unit from the front of the restaurant was also taken, hampering the investigation.
