Shock Attack on Boys in Yate on Boxing Day – Police Hunt Pepper Spray Suspect

Six Boys Sprayed Near Shell Petrol Station

Avon & Somerset Police are on the lookout after a shocking assault on six boys in Yate on Boxing Day. Just before 7.30pm on December 26, a man pulled up in a car near the Shell Petrol Station on Westerleigh Road and sprayed what appeared to be pepper spray at the group of boys aged 12 to 15. The attacker then sped off before officers could catch him.

Victims Treated for Irritation

Following the attack, one boy was treated at hospital for skin irritation and later discharged, while another received care at home. Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported so far.

Officers Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Despite a swift police search, the suspect’s vehicle remains missing. Investigations continue as officers seek any witnesses or CCTV footage that could help land the culprit.
