Police were called just after midnight on Tuesday, 4 January, following reports of a man stabbed on Yiewsley High Street, West Drayton. Officers arrived at the scene alongside paramedics, who were desperately trying to save 46-year-old Dariusz, a local Polish resident.
Despite efforts to save him, Dariusz was tragically pronounced dead at 12.43am.
Groin and Chest Stab Wounds Prove Fatal
A post-mortem carried out two days later confirmed the cause of death as stab wounds to the groin and chest.
Police Hunt Group of Attackers, Urge Dash Cam Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, leading the investigation, revealed:
“We believe Dariusz was attacked by a group of males on Tavistock Road after a verbal dispute. The group scattered in different directions.”
He added that the area was busy, with passing traffic and pedestrians who might have recorded the incident on dash cams or doorbell cameras.
“I urge anyone in the area at the time to check their footage—you could have crucial evidence.”
Dariusz’s family are “distraught,” and police say they are offering full support.
