Teen Boy Attacked After Verbal Abuse on High Street

Between 8pm and 8.20pm on Friday 19 August 2022, a teenage boy was verbally abused by a teenage girl as she followed him down the High Street. The abuse swiftly turned violent when the boy was punched several times near the bus station, sustaining non-serious injuries.

Good Samaritans Step In After Attack

Shortly after the assault, three or four members of the public approached the victim to check if he was okay. Their quick thinking provided comfort in a scary moment.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Suspect

Kent Police have identified and spoken to a suspect. Detectives now want to hear from anyone who stopped to assist the victim or who witnessed the incident.
