Missing Woman Disappears on Valentine’s Day
Sussex Police are hunting for missing 62-year-old Laurel Aldridge, who vanished from her home in Walberton near Arundel early Tuesday, 14 February.
Last Seen Wearing Distinctive Outfit
Laurel was spotted wearing a grey puffer jacket, turquoise fleece, maroon tartan scarf, and a brown hat. Police believe she also had on dark green tracksuit trousers with a white emblem. She stands around 5’4” tall, has grey-blonde highlighted hair, and sometimes wears glasses.
Massive Search Underway With Dogs, Drones & Helicopters
Officers have conducted door-to-door inquiries while search teams with dogs comb rural West Sussex. The National Police Air Service helicopter and drones are also being deployed. Sussex Police are teaming up with specialist volunteer search teams to widen the hunt.
Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges said: “We are working around the clock on an extensive investigation to find Laurel. The support from our volunteer search teams and the public’s information has been invaluable. We continue to assist Laurel’s family with regular updates and support.”
