Oslen Kelman Jailed for Historic Rape

Oslen Kelman, from Lambert Road, London, was convicted at Lewes Crown Court for a brutal attack on a woman in her 50s who knew him. The victim told police she was assaulted multiple times, including in a motorway service station toilet.

Kelman initially faced three counts of rape. His first trial in March 2025 ended with a deadlocked jury. But during the retrial, he was convicted on one count linked to the service station incident and acquitted of the other two charges.

Victim Receives Specialist Support

From the moment the victim came forward, Sussex Police provided expert support throughout the investigation and trial to help her navigate the ordeal.

On 30 January, Kelman was sentenced to four years in prison, bringing some justice for the victim after decades of silence.
