Man Shot Dead Near Queensbury Tube Station
Detectives have named the victim of a fatal shooting in Queensbury. Leon Maxwell, 38, from Watford, was gunned down on Tuesday, 1 May.
Tragic Night Unfolds on Cumberland Road
Police were called to Cumberland Road, HA8, near Queensbury tube station at 9pm following reports of gunfire. Armed officers and London Ambulance Service arrived to find Leon suffering a critical gunshot wound. Sadly, he died at the scene just before 10pm.
Another Man Shot, Investigation Underway
A 26-year-old man arrived at a north London hospital minutes later with a gunshot injury. He remains in stable condition as police work to uncover links between the two men.
Authorities sealed off crime scenes on Cumberland Road and Essoldo Way, where the attacks are believed to have happened. Forensic teams conducted ballistic tests and scoured CCTV footage to piece together what happened.
Police Seek Witnesses
The murder probe is led by Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall from the Homicide and Major Crime Command. No arrests have been made yet.
