£10K Reward Offered to Catch Notorious M25 Cat Killer

The hunt is on for the brutal M25 Cat Killer after a second mutilated feline was found in Portsmouth. The latest victim was discovered near Stubbington Avenue in Copnor on Monday, just days after a tortoiseshell cat was found decapitated and tailless in Milton.

Second Portsmouth Cat Linked to M25 Killer

The first cat was found in a neighbour’s garden off Eastern Road, Milton, with horrific injuries matching the signature of the infamous M25 Cat Killer. Experts from South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL), leading the investigation, are now confident the second mutilation is connected.

M25 Killer’s Gruesome Trail Extends Nationwide

The killer, active since 2014, is believed to have struck more than 250 cats—and not just cats. Targets include foxes, rabbits, and birds from as far away as Sheffield, Manchester, and possibly the Isle of Wight.

  • The killer’s trademark: decapitations, removal of paws or tails, and sometimes slicing cats in half.
  • Forensic evidence shows the same precise cuts, confirming a single culprit.
  • SNARL holds back some signature details to prevent copycats.

“We know they’re done by the same person because the cuts are from the same sort of hand. If a different person did them, they would make the cuts in different places,” said a SNARL spokeswoman.

“He has a few signature mutilations – he always cuts off the heads, paws or tails of the cats – or cuts them in half. There are a couple of other signatures we haven’t released to the media to ensure we don’t get copycat killings.”

“It’s not us deciding they’re the same person. That’s what the results of the post-mortems and forensic evidence say.”

£10,000 Reward to Nab the Feline Fiend

Animal rights group PETA initially offered a £5,000 reward. This has now been doubled by Outpaced, bringing the total cash bounty to a whopping £10,000. The prize aims to crack the case and bring the fiend behind this horrific cat carnage to justice.

If you have any information, contact SNARL immediately and help stop this menace terrorising innocent pets.
