Tragic Crash Near Penkridge Claims Two Teenage Lives
Staffordshire Police are probing a deadly collision that killed two teenagers last night (Saturday 25 May) near Penkridge.
Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Cannock Road
Colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service alerted officers just before midnight about a single-vehicle crash with four people involved on Cannock Road. Police arrived shortly after.
Emergency crews battled to save the victims, but the driver, an 18-year-old male, and a 17-year-old front-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two Teenage Girls Seriously Injured
Two 17-year-old female passengers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries and remain in critical condition.
Investigation Underway, Police Appeal for Witnesses
“This is a tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the young people who have lost their lives and those injured,” said Sergeant Richard Moors from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Collision Investigation Unit.
“Specialist officers are supporting the families at this difficult time and we ask for their privacy to be respected. A full investigation is underway to establish the cause of the collision.”
